Onfire's New Zealand Flag Designs
The deadline for the NZ flag design is today so we thought we'd better get a few designs submitted! Whilst we have no issues with the current flag it would be good to have a flag that is unique (and different to Australia).
1. 'A New New Zealand'. This flag design represents the multicultural New Zealand of today and the future. The silver fern is a national icon. The blue and red have historic ties to the existing flag. The southern cross shines bright above every New Zealander. Fern design by Dave Clark.
2. The 'Silver Spirit' flag design represents the multicultural New Zealand of today and the future. The silver fern is a national icon. New Zealand is a country of innovators so we prefer a modern fern design to represent this progressive country. The colour white relates to the Silver fern. The colour blue has historic ties to our existing flag, and represents the ocean that surrounds our land. Fern design by Dave Clark. The fern could be redrawn to be unique.
3. 'Southern Spirit' is a simple, bold flag. It is a graphic representation of New Zealand - a shining star, surrounded by ocean.
The Southern Cross is accepted by all New Zealanders which makes this a great flag to represent the multicultural population.
4. 'Green Spirit'. New Zealand is a land of green and opportunity. Surrounded by Sky and Ocean with the mighty southern cross overhead.
5. Land of the long white cloud with the Southern Cross shining through.
